Inspect what this browser can prove about a JPG or PNG, flag privacy-sensitive fields, and download a rechecked copy without uploading it.
Image Metadata Viewer and Remover
This first version reads bounded JPEG EXIF/XMP and PNG text/EXIF blocks. It shows what it recognized, what it removed, and what may remain unknown instead of claiming to find or erase every kind of metadata.
How to use this tool
- Choose one JPG or PNG image; it is read only in your browser.
- Review recognized fields and the privacy-sensitive highlights.
- Remove recognized metadata, then read the second-scan result before downloading the checked copy.
Frequently asked questions
Does no result mean this image has no metadata?
No. It means this bounded local parser did not recognize a supported field. Unknown blocks, pixel data and other formats may still carry information.
Does Remove metadata erase every possible trace?
No. It removes only recognized JPEG EXIF/XMP and PNG text/EXIF blocks, then reports any blocks it intentionally left unknown.
